We are looking for a Environmental Senior Consultant to become part of our Client team. In this role, the Environmental Senior Consultant will be instrumental in upholding adherence to environmental laws, performing environmental evaluations, and embedding eco-friendly practices throughout our renewable energy initiatives.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with local authorities and communities to ensure successful completion of environmental permitting processes for initiated and developed projects.
- Demonstrating expertise in the processes, involved parties, and the ability to address related issues such as territory planning and environmental impact assessments.
- Working with development, construction, operations, and engineering teams to formulate an environmental permitting and operation strategy that ensures compliance with regulations and legislation in the Polish market for current and future projects.
- Serving as the subject matter expert and point of contact internally and externally regarding permitting matters. Translating complex problems into easily understandable tasks and actionable steps.
- Providing specialized training and development across the business in line with the company's vision, fostering a culture of behavioral change.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Hold a degree in environmental management sciences, engineering, or a relevant field.
- Have 3+ years of experience in the specified areas of responsibility, with experience in the renewable energy sector considered an advantage.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Polish environmental regulatory requirements.
- Have experience in environmental management of renewable energy projects, including the preparation of environmental documentation and expertise management.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to quickly solve problems and advanced conflict resolution skills.
- Fluent in English
