About the Team

Lead Data Engineering Manager will join a team accountable for providing data engineering projects in EU area. The team itself acts as a Regional Engineering Center and is based in Kraków. Team members deliver projects on global, regional and local levels.

About Position

Lead Data Engineering Manager will act as a Head of Data Engineering for EU region and will take responsibility of managing infrastructure procurement and forecasting. This Specialist will closely cooperate with IS Business Partners to deliver adequate solutions. This is a new position in Kraków's HUB and this Individual will be accountable for hiring new members of Data Engineering team.

Requirements

• Previous IT leadership experience in large organisation
• Hands on experience with Hadoop
• Good knowledge of how Software Delivery teams are structured
• Exposure to all phazes of application development process
• Strong backgroung in delivering varied projects and programmes
• Experience in working in matrix organisation

Skills

• Very good communicator
• Above avarage co-ordination skills
• Confirmed capability of understanding Data Quality
• Practical knowledge of Linux
• Working experience in Teradata
• Knowledge of BI and Analytics tools
• Experience with Master Data Management and Reference Data Management
• Good understanding of financial and accounting environment
• Previous experience in working in financial sector
• Fluency in English
