Role Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Hadoop Admin. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple Hortonworks Clusters, with key duties including troubleshooting, maintaining, and monitoring. A significant part of the role involves handling issues related to HBase, OpenTSDB and Grafana to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of data. Other tasks include Kafka for stream processing of data and deployment of new services, patching of hosts, etc. The role also requires hands-on experience with the Linux (preferably Redhat) server platform.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a Hadoop Admin.
- Hands-on experience managing multiple Hortonworks Clusters.
- Experience with HBase, OpenTSDB, and Grafana related issues.
- Experience with Kafka for stream processing of data.
- Experience in Deployment of new services, patching of hosts, etc.
- Good hands-on experience with Linux (preferably Redhat) server platform.
- Knowledge in at least one of these: GoLangJavaPythonShell.
- Knowledge of Prometheus Service for event monitoring and alerts is desirable.
