We are seeking a Programme Manager to join our contracting team and work with our esteemed Client in the banking sector. This role requires a dynamic leader who can oversee project management teams, drive the execution of key programs, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. 

As a Programme Manager, you will be accountable for:

  • Overseeing the execution of the Data Movement program and maintaining comprehensive oversight of the product development roadmap and adoption plans.
  • The delivery strategy and approach across multiple projects or activities, ensuring stakeholder alignment with plans, commitments, and changes.
  • Reporting, governance, and benefits realization/OKR management, adhering to the Bank’s Change Framework.
  • Leading Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and PMOs on high-profile global deliveries to ensure commitments are met regarding budget, benefits, schedule, and scope.
  • Proactively collaborating with Product and SMEs in the annual planning and forecasting process.
  • Managing the intake of new work and evaluating new change requirements, facilitating integrated triage to identify requirements, scope, and budget.
  • Driving stakeholder discussions related to delivery strategy, scope, capabilities, and budget.
  • Managing resource plans with Project Managers and Scrum Masters, overseeing indicative pricing and detailed budgets aligned with deliverables and actual work effort.
  • Serving as an escalation point to manage risks, issues, and dependencies, providing solutions-oriented consultation to team leads, controlling scope and the change control process, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement strategic solutions.
  • Managing negotiations and overseeing the management and monitoring of Third-Party contracts and service agreements.
  • Utilizing approved change management tools like JIRA and Confluence to establish delivery dashboards and reports, ensuring financial health, live deliverables, and performance against KPIs/OKRs.
  • Partnering with other global Programme Managers and the Programme Office to implement the approved DAO vision for delivery management and contribute to the discipline's future evolution.
  • Establishing effective controls, procedures, and quality assurance processes to ensure consistency of outputs across all deliverables in line with the Change Framework and the Bank's Risk and Controls framework.
  • Managing and mentoring Project Management and Scrum team members, resolving escalations, setting and managing performance goals, coaching individual career growth paths, and balancing workloads.

Key skills:

  • At least  10 years of experience in Programme Manager / Delivery Lead role
  • Very good understanding of data-related deliveries. Proven experience delivering and working with complex technologies
  • Excellent knowledge of financial institutions / financial services, in particular
  • Extensive program management/delivery lead skills and experience in managing large and complex global deliveries in a changing environment are paramount.
  • Ability to develop capability in change teams through coaching and training delivery
  • Ability to lead and motivate high-performing global teams in multiple locations
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Exceptional ability to think strategically, manage complexity, balance significant change and multiple key priorities
  • Proven delivery of on-time and on-budget programs that achieve business case-stated outcomes with strong attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach
  • Experience in applying Agile methodology in program and product development
  • PMP / PRINCE 2 certification advantageous
  • Fluency in English
