Requirements:
- Fluent English (B2/C1) and good German (min. B1)
- University degree in economics, with a focus on external accounting, auditing, insurance, or business mathematics
- Several years of professional experience in a similar position
- Strong knowledge of Solvency II regulations for insurance companies
- Proficiency in SAP (especially FI and SEM-BCS), strong command of office software, and experience with databases
- Excellent analytical thinking, with the ability to clearly explain complex accounting issues verbally and graphically
- Strong leadership, effective communication skills, independence, and responsibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of national and international accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
- Experience in creating operational and data reports in line with Solvency II requirements
- Experience in preparing annual and quarterly financial statements under Solvency II
- Experience conducting balance sheet variance analyses and ensuring the quality of financial data
- Experience in collaborating with auditors on financial reporting
- Project management experience related to Solvency II initiatives
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Solvency II regulations
- Coordinating and preparing annual and quarterly financial statements in compliance with Solvency II
- Conducting balance sheet variance analyses and ensuring the accuracy of financial data for internal and external reporting
- Collaborating with auditors on financial statements and ensuring accurate reporting to regulatory bodies (BaFin, Deutsche Bundesbank)
- Managing and participating in Solvency II-related projects, improving processes and ensuring risk management compliance
