Senior Electrical Power Systems Studies and Planning Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Power Systems Studies and Planning Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for analyzing and planning high-voltage electrical networks. If you are passionate about modern technologies and eager to contribute to key projects involving the development of national and international transmission networks, this opportunity is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analyses and develop planning reports for national high-voltage transmission networks.
- Perform key studies and simulations, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and transient and dynamic stability assessments – PSS/E software proficiency is preferred.
- Model transmission lines, substation equipment (such as transformers and reactive power compensation systems), and power plant components (various generator types, governors, and automatic voltage regulators).
- Develop custom models of equipment based on manufacturer data when no pre-existing models are available (experience in this area is a plus).
- Analyze the impact of new power plants on the grid, with a particular focus on wind and solar power plants.
- Plan and optimize power network development, including assessing cross-border interconnections.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and other project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical studies and planning for high-voltage networks.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus).
- Strong proficiency in power system analysis tools, preferably PSS/E.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems related to power networks.
- Fluent in both Polish and English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
