Role Overview:
We are currently looking for an experienced Vulnerability Scanning Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a global cybersecurity team for one of our key clients in the banking sector. The role focuses on identifying and managing security vulnerabilities across a large-scale IT environment, supporting early detection and remediation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and ad-hoc infrastructure vulnerability scans and assessments
- Deploy and manage scanning agents in large-scale environments
- Analyze scan results and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders
- Configure and operate industry-standard vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys)
- Collaborate with global teams and third-party vendors
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve vulnerability detection and management
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys)
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud security assessments
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical findings to various audiences
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (OWASP, NIST, CIS)
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Self-driven, ethical, and resilient under pressure
