For our client Carbon Recycling International  with HQ in Reykjavik we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to build up, lead and manage our multidisciplinary engineering team, working on designing and developing green methanol plants, based on our client licensed CO2-to-methanol technology. The role encompasses key engineering disciplines, including mechanical, piping, cost estimation, electrical, automation, civil. This position will be based in Cracow. 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers from various disciplines, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Strategically plan and execute the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and professional development of engineering team members to support current and future project needs.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering team, ensuring high performance and efficient project execution.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

Oversee the hiring and performance of subcontractors, monitoring the progress and quality of work performed to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.

Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department in alignment with company goals and objectives.

Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, addressing complex engineering challenges and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions, ensuring they meet safety, reliability, and performance criteria.

Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and industry trends, integrating best practices and innovative solutions into engineering projects.

Develop and manage the engineering department’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective project execution.

Requirements:

B.Sc or M.Sc degree in mechanical, electrical, automation, process, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the chemical industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex engineering projects.

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent written and verbal English skills.
