For our client in the manufacturing industry, located near Kraków, we are currently seeking an experienced and motivated candidate for the position of Production Manager (m/f). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the effective execution of production strategies aligned with modern, KPI-driven management standards to consistently achieve ambitious production targets.
  • Leading and developing a large, multi-level production organization in a structured, corporate environment, with strong focus on accountability, performance culture, and continuous improvement.
  • Building cross-functional partnerships with engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end value stream performance.
  • Designing and implementing data-based solutions to optimize processes, increase OEE, reduce waste, and improve overall production efficiency in line with Lean principles.
  • Ensuring high operational availability and reliability of the machinery park through preventive maintenance strategies and performance monitoring.
  • Conducting quarterly and annual organizational reviews, succession planning, and talent development initiatives to strengthen leadership capabilities and long-term team effectiveness.
  • Guaranteeing the highest corporate standards in quality, compliance, and workplace safety (HSE), fostering a zero-incident culture.
  • Leading structured production optimization projects, including cost-saving and productivity improvement programs.
  • Effectively deploying and sustaining Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, SMED, VSM), embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field, providing a strong foundation for managing complex manufacturing operations within a structured corporate environment.
  • Advanced theoretical and hands-on expertise in Lean Management, with proven success in implementing and sustaining tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, VSM, and continuous improvement frameworks at scale.
  • Solid knowledge of modern, data-driven production management systems (KPI management, OEE, performance dashboards, digitalization initiatives) and genuine interest in further developing Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with multi-level stakeholders in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large production structures (minimum 100 FTE), with focus on performance culture, accountability, and talent development.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a comparable managerial role within an international manufacturing company operating under corporate standards.
  • High level of creativity combined with well-developed interpersonal skills, supporting change management and transformation projects.
  • Very good command of English, enabling smooth cooperation in an international business environment.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong focus on operational excellence, cost optimization, and continuous efficiency improvement.
