ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Murex Specialist to join a global Commodities Technology team supporting primary trading systems. Murex is a vendor software solution essential for trading activities, providing risk management, P&L calculation, and trade lifecycle management for Front and Middle Office users.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with business and development teams worldwide, offering technical support and functional analysis for sales, trading, and middle office communities. The focus will be primarily on Precious Metals, FX, and Interest Rate products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with business and technology stakeholders to develop and enhance primary trading systems, focusing on Precious Metals, FX, and Interest Rate products

Provide production support to Front and Middle Office users, handling incidents and problems, performing business impact analysis, and maintaining clear communication with desks

Act as a business analyst for projects: gather requirements, discuss solutions with development teams, and contribute hands-on to implementations

Facilitate user acceptance testing, conduct training sessions, and encourage feedback and ongoing communication

Support continuous improvement of development, testing, and release processes, including automation of manual tasks

Serve as a central contact point during European business hours, liaising with global users and stakeholders to maintain strong business-technology partnerships

Promote Agile ways of working, delivering business value through iterative and incremental development
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Proven experience supporting or developing Murex systems

Strong knowledge of financial products and experience working with front office teams

Excellent analytical skills for risk, P&L, and trade lifecycle analysis

Experience working in Agile environments with active participation in demos, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Effective communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage daily with business users and development teams

Self-motivated, able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

Experience working with global teams
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

Hands-on software development experience, knowledge of SQL, shell scripting, or similar tools

Deep understanding of risk and P&L related to FX, commodities, or option products

Experience in commodities, FX, and fixed income trading businesses

Familiarity with Geneos and Control-M monitoring tools

Professional certifications such as CFA or FRM
