Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong Databricks and Power BI exposure to support a complex enterprise transformation programme. This role is central to understanding how data is structured, processed, and consumed across the organisation, with a strong focus on mapping end-to-end dependencies and user/data journeys.
You will work across business and technology teams to build clarity on interactions between applications, tables, data pipelines, jobs, reports and dashboards, ensuring high-quality analysis that drives confident delivery decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of enterprise-wide dependencies with Databricks and Power BI as key platforms in scope.
• Map end-to-end data journeys across Databricks pipelines, transformation jobs, semantic/reporting layers, and Power BI dashboards.
• Map user journeys and reporting journeys to ensure business outcomes are fully understood and traceable.
• Assess upstream/downstream impacts of changes to data models, jobs, and dashboard logic.
• Partner with data engineers, BI developers, architects, and business stakeholders to validate requirements and sequencing.
• Produce detailed artefacts including dependency matrices, lineage maps, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Support validation planning, data/reporting assurance, and stakeholder sign-off readiness.
• Identify risks, constraints, and cross-team interlocks early, with clear mitigation recommendations.

 

Required Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in technical, corporate environments.
• Exposure to Databricks and Power BI in enterprise delivery contexts.
• Proven track record of analysing complex data/reporting ecosystems and documenting end-to-end dependencies.
• Excellent requirements elicitation, process mapping, and stakeholder facilitation skills.
• Ability to translate technical architecture and reporting logic into clear business impact.

 

Preferred

• Experience in Cybersecurity environments (preferred, not mandatory).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted ways of working.
• Hands-on use of GitHub Copilot and VS Code to accelerate analysis, documentation, and productivity.
• Experience operating within governance and control-focused enterprise programmes.
